Choreographic Commissions

Artistic Director Kim Robards has traveled nationally and internationally creating new choreographic works and setting her repertoire on myriad groups. She has taught master classes and choreographed on professional companies, university programs, national summer intensive programs, and regional dance studios. These projects offer opportunities to expand the KRD repertoire and further choreographic creativity. Ms. Robards' work is available to be commissioned.
Touring

KRD has toured both nationally and internationally serving as an ambassador for Colorado culture. Ms. Robards' work has been received with high acclaim internationally. The company has appeared at the 2008 Booking Dance Festival in Beijing, China as well as the 2009 Booking Dance Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. Ms. Robards and her company have worked internationally in five countries and throughout the United States.

Collaborations

KRD seeks artistically interesting and high quality collaborations and has a long history of engaging with musicians, composers, musical ensembles, theatre ensembles, and other artists. Collaborations have included artistic endeavors with Inside the Orchestra, Colorado Chamber Players, Colorado Symphony and Chorus and the Colorado Children's Chorale, Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra, Augustana Arts, Fiesta Colorado Dance Company, Colorado Springs Center for Spiritual Living, and Mile Hi Church, among others.
Residencies

Residencies offer an in depth dance experience, through an extended program period ranging up to several weeks. KRD provides master classes, workshops, creation or setting of choreography, and both mainstage as well as educational outreach lecture/demonstration performances. Residencies may culminate in a presentation of work to showcase the participating students or dancers' artistic accomplishments resulting from the residency period. Ms. Robards and her company have been hosted for residencies statewide, nationally and internationally. Ms. Robards is available as a Guest Artist or the full Company may also be hosted for residencies of varying lengths.
